Where is Leonard Located?
Leonard is in the southwestern part of Fannin County. A major road, U.S. Route 69, runs along the northern and eastern edges of the city. This road can take you northwest about 34 miles (55 km) to Denison or southeast about 20 miles (32 km) to Greenville.
Another important road, Texas State Highway 78, goes northeast about 16 miles (26 km) to Bonham, which is the main city in Fannin County. If you head southwest on Highway 78, you'll reach Farmersville in about 24 miles (39 km). The big city of Dallas is about 65 miles (105 km) southwest of Leonard using Highway 78.
The city of Leonard covers a total area of about 2.29 square miles (5.95 square kilometers), and all of it is land.
