Leonora Jakupi (Albanian pronunciation: [lɛɔˈnɔɾa jaˈkupi]; born March 3, 1979) is a famous singer and songwriter from Kosovo. She is known for her powerful voice and her unique blend of traditional Albanian folk music with modern pop songs.

Her Early Music Journey
Leonora Jakupi grew up in Kosovo. When she was younger, her family faced a difficult time during the Kosovo War (1998–1999). Her father, who was involved with the Kosovo Liberation Army (a group that fought for Kosovo's independence), was sadly killed during this war.
Leonora's music often includes both old-style Albanian folk songs and newer popular music. One of her most famous songs, "A vritet pafajsia?" (meaning Can innocence be killed?), was released in 1998. At that time, she was a refugee in Albania because of the war. She dedicated this song to her father and all the other Albanians who lost their lives during the conflict. This song helped her become very well-known.

Even though Leonora started her career with songs that had a strong folk music feel, she has also created many modern pop hits. In 2009, she released "Ky është fundi" (meaning This is the end), which became very popular on the radio and online.
