Les Autels-Saint-Bazile was once a small town (called a "commune") located in the Calvados area of Normandy, a region in north-western France. On January 1, 2016, this commune joined with others to form a new, larger town called Livarot-Pays-d'Auge.

Exploring the Geography of Les Autels-Saint-Bazile
Les Autels-Saint-Bazile is about 45 kilometers (28 miles) south-east of Caen. It is also 28 kilometers (17 miles) south-west of Lisieux. The eastern and southern edges of this area form the border between the Calvados and Orne departments.
Roads and Rivers in the Area
You can reach the village by taking the D38 road from Heurtevent in the north. This road goes through the village and continues south. The D155 road comes from the north and runs along the north-eastern side. It then continues south towards Le Renouard. The D38A road goes east from the village to meet the D155. Another road, the D111, passes south through the western part of the area. The land here is a mix of forests and farms.
The Monne river forms the eastern border of the area. It flows north-east and joins the Vie river further north. A small, unnamed stream starts in the middle of the area and flows east to join the Monne. The Aubette river forms the western border of the western part of the area. The Ruisseau de Clermont stream begins in the west and flows north to join the Aubette.
