He also has a master's degree in human services administration from Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership.

Leslie David Baker's Acting Journey
Baker moved to Los Angeles, California, in the late 1990s to pursue acting.
Playing Stanley Hudson in The Office
Baker's audition for The Office was quite memorable. He was stuck in traffic on his way to the audition. When he arrived, he was a bit tired and grumpy. The show's producers thought he was just being patient.
Baker later said that the character, Stanley Hudson, was written to be like how he felt that day. He just let his feelings show, and two weeks later, he got the part.
Stanley Hudson is a sales representative at Dunder Mifflin, a fictional paper company. He is often shown as a grumpy and defiant character. Many people thought Baker's performance was outstanding. His calm voice and quiet manner made him stand out among the show's other lively characters.
Some of Baker's scenes as Stanley became very popular with fans. For example, in the episode "Did I Stutter?", Stanley is a main focus. Sometimes, Stanley also showed a softer side. In the episode "Stairmageddon", Baker played a very happy Stanley after his character was given a tranquilizer. At the end of the series, Stanley was happy living in retirement in Florida.
Baker and the rest of The Office cast won Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2007 and 2008. These awards were for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
After The Office ended in 2013, Baker continued to be busy with other projects. In 2020, he started a Kickstarter campaign for a spin-off show called Uncle Stan. This show would follow Stanley as he moves to Los Angeles to help his nephew. The campaign raised over $336,000. However, in 2023, Baker announced that the project was delayed. This was due to COVID and Hollywood strikes. He decided to refund the money to the donors.
Other Roles and Projects
In 2001, Baker appeared as a janitor in an episode of That '70s Show. In 2011, he released a song called "2 Be Simple." The song had a music video where Baker, dressed in a bathrobe, danced. Many found the song's catchy tune and lyrics amusing.
Baker has also appeared in other TV shows. These include Raven's Home as Principal Wentworth, Scorpion, and Life in Pieces. He was also in the CMT series Still the King.
For movies, he had a voice role in Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie (2017). He also appeared in The Happytime Murders (2018). In the animated show Fired on Mars, he voiced the character Hubert Danielson.
