Lidköping Municipality (which in Swedish is Lidköpings kommun) is a local government area in western Sweden. It is part of Västra Götaland County. The main town and administrative center of the municipality is the city of Lidköping.
People sometimes call it "Lidköping by Vänern". This helps to tell it apart from Linköping, another city in eastern Sweden. Both names sound quite similar!
