Lierneux (pronounced lyair-nuh) is a small town in Belgium. It is located in the province of Liège, which is part of Wallonia. Wallonia is the French-speaking region of Belgium.

Battle of the Bulge Memorial
Within the area of Lierneux, there is a special place that remembers a big battle. This battle was called the Battle of the Bulge. It happened during World War II.
On December 22, 1944, American soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division fought bravely here. They won against the German SS division. This memorial site honors their courage and sacrifice during this important battle.
