Lily Gladstone is an American actress born on August 2, 1986. She grew up on the Blackfeet Reservation. Lily has Piegan Blackfeet, Nez Perce, and European family roots. She is well-known for her role as Mollie Kyle in the movie Killers of the Flower Moon (2023). This role earned her many awards.

Lily Gladstone was the first Native American to win a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama. She was also the first Native American to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress.

Lily Gladstone was born on August 2, 1986, in Kalispell, Montana. She spent her childhood on the Blackfeet Reservation in Browning, Montana. Her father's family is from the Piegan Blackfeet and Nez Perce tribes. Her mother's family has European heritage. One of her great-great-grandfathers was Kainai Nation chief Red Crow.

When Lily was five, she watched Return of the Jedi. She wanted to play an Ewok, which made her want to become an actress. One of her first acting experiences was in a play called Cinderella. She played an evil stepsister.

Her family moved to the Seattle area when she was in middle school. There, she joined Stone Soup Theatre. This is a theater group for young people in Seattle. She acted in student films and plays.

In 2023, Lily Gladstone played the main role of Mollie Kyle in Martin Scorsese's film Killers of the Flower Moon. The movie was released in October 2023. Her acting in the film was highly praised by critics. Many said her performance was a highlight of the movie.

In January 2024, she won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama. This made her the first Indigenous (Native American) person to win an acting Golden Globe.
