Wagner Lindsell "Lin-J" Shell Jr. (born October 22, 1981 – died July 29, 2021) was an American professional football player. He was known for playing as a defensive back. Lin-J Shell played in both the Canadian Football League (CFL) and the Arena Football League (AFL).
He started his career in 2004 with the Orlando Predators in the AFL. Later, he joined several teams, including the Philadelphia Eagles. Shell was a CFL East All-Star twice. He also helped the Calgary Stampeders win the Grey Cup championship in 2014.

Lin-J Shell's Football Journey
Lin-J Shell played college football at Jacksonville University. After college, he began his professional football career. He was first signed by the Orlando Predators in the Arena Football League in 2004.
Playing in the CFL
Lin-J Shell spent many years playing in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was a key player for several teams.
- He played for the Toronto Argonauts from 2009 to 2011. During this time, he was named a CFL East All-Star twice. This means he was one of the best players in his position in the Eastern division.
- From 2012 to 2013, he played for the BC Lions.
- In 2014, Shell joined the Calgary Stampeders. He helped the team win the Grey Cup, which is the championship trophy of the CFL. This was a major highlight of his career.
- His final season was in 2015 with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

After his successful football career, Lin-J Shell became a teacher. He taught physical education at Jean Ribault High School in Jacksonville, Florida. He also coached football at Jackson High School.
In 2018, Lin-J Shell was recognized for his brave actions at school. He helped to prevent a serious situation involving a handgun in the school gym. His quick thinking helped keep everyone safe.
Later Life and Passing
Lin-J Shell passed away on July 29, 2021, at the age of 39. He died from a stroke in Florida. His family also shared that he had tested positive for COVID-19 during the COVID-19 pandemic in Florida.
