Lin Yun (Chinese: 林允; pinyin: Lín Yǔn), also known as Jelly Lin, is a Chinese actress and model. She was born on April 16, 1996. She became famous for her main role in the 2016 movie The Mermaid.

Lin Yun's birth name is Fei Xia (费霞). She was born in Huzhou, Zhejiang, China. Her father worked as a porter, and her mother was a housewife. Lin Yun went to Huzhou No. 12 Middle School. Later, she studied at a performing arts school in Beijing.

Starting with The Mermaid
When Lin Yun was 18, she got a big role in the 2016 movie The Mermaid. This movie was directed by Stephen Chow. Even though she had little acting experience, she played the main character. The Mermaid became the highest-earning movie in China that year. This movie made Lin Yun very famous.
In the same year, Lin Yun also appeared in a fantasy movie called L.O.R.D: Legend of Ravaging Dynasties. This film was directed and written by Guo Jingming.
