Lincoln is a small place in Jackson County, Oregon, United States. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and buildings that isn't officially a city or town. Lincoln is located along Oregon Route 66, which is also known as Greens Springs Highway. You can find it between the cities of Ashland and Klamath Falls. It sits in the beautiful Siskiyou Mountains and is close to Pinehurst. Lincoln is also part of the Cascade–Siskiyou National Monument, a special area protected for its nature.

How Lincoln Got Its Name

Lincoln was named a long time ago. A family named Henry moved here from New England. They used to live near a place called Lincoln, New Hampshire. When they came to Oregon, they owned a lumber mill in this area. They decided to name their new home "Lincoln" after their old one. This story was shared in a newspaper called the Medford Mail-Tribune in 1929.
