The Lake Harriet Bandshell is a famous landmark in Linden Hills. It's right on the lake's edge. The current bandshell was built in 1985. It's actually the fifth music stage to be built on the lake! The first two were destroyed by fire, one by a big wind storm, and the fourth was taken down in 1985.

The main station and car barn for the Como-Harriet Streetcar Line are also in the neighborhood. You can find them near West 42nd Street and Queen Avenue. This historic streetcar line is a fun way to experience the past.

Shopping and Dining

Linden Hills has a busy shopping and dining area. It's mainly around Upton Avenue and 43rd Street. This area grew up along the old Como-Harriet streetcar line in the 1920s. Today, you'll find many different shops and restaurants there.

One famous restaurant, Famous Dave's, had its second location here in 1995. It was designed to look like an old-fashioned BBQ shack. This location closed in 2014. The property was then used for new buildings, including apartments and more shops.
