Lise Simms began acting when she was only 13 years old. After finishing high school, she started performing on Broadway. Broadway is a famous theater district in New York City. She acted in many popular plays there during the 1980s.

Some of the Broadway shows she was in include Mame and Bye Bye Birdie. She was also part of the first cast of Beauty and the Beast in Los Angeles. In 1986, she traveled the world with the musical A Chorus Line.

Television Roles

Lise Simms has appeared in many TV shows. She was the host of a show called Area on the Style Network. Many people know her best as Barbara Diffy. This was Phil's mom in the Disney Channel series Phil of the Future. She also played "The Timekeeper" in one episode of that show.

She had a regular role as Connie Wayne in the TV show The Young and the Restless. Lise Simms also made guest appearances on many other popular shows. These include Friends, iCarly, Star Trek: Voyager, and NCIS. In 1988, she performed for President Ronald Reagan. This performance was part of a TV series called Great Performances at the White House.

Lise Simms also co-hosted a show called Desperate Spaces on Home & Garden Television. On this show, she was an interior designer. She and her co-host would redecorate a room in just two days. They had a budget of $2,500 for each room. Desperate Spaces first aired in 2008.
