Digimon Adventure 02 is an exciting 50-episode anime series. It's a sequel to the 1999 show Digimon Adventure. Toei Animation created it, and it first aired in Japan on Fuji TV. This happened between April 2, 2000, and March 25, 2001.
The story takes place four years after the first Digimon Adventure. A new group of DigiDestined children must protect the Digital World. They face new and old enemies to keep peace. The show was very popular. In 2001, a Japanese magazine called Animage asked its readers about their favorite anime. Digimon Adventure 02 was ranked 17th. It was even tied with the famous movie My Neighbor Totoro.
Digimon Adventure 02 has been shown in many countries. This includes places in Asia, Europe, and the Americas. You could watch it either dubbed in your language or with subtitles. For example, in the United States, the English version started on Fox Kids on August 19, 2000. Later, it moved to other channels like ABC Family and Toon Disney. The show helped Fox Kids become very popular with kids aged 6–11 in early 2001. You can also watch the episodes online. Crunchyroll started streaming the subtitled version in 2008. Funimation Entertainment also began streaming it in 2009. DVDs of the series have been released in Japan and North America.
The Japanese opening song is "Target: Akai Shōgeki" by Kōji Wada. There are two Japanese ending songs by Ai Maeda. They are "Ashita wa Atashi no Kaze ga Fuku" and "Itsumo Itsudemo". The English version uses the same theme song as the first Digimon Adventure show.
