For example, the biggest city in East Prussia was called Königsberg. It was a very important city. After 1945, it became part of Russia and was renamed Kaliningrad. Today, it's a major city in Russia.
Another important city was Elbing. This city is now in Poland and is called Elbląg. It's interesting to see how the names sound similar sometimes, but are spelled differently.
