The mountains in Denali National Park and Preserve are a big part of the Alaska Range. This huge mountain range includes many smaller ranges within it. The most famous mountain here is Denali, also known as Mount McKinley. It's the tallest peak in the park and the highest mountain in all of North America, standing at an amazing 20,320 feet (6,194 m)! Meet the Mountains of Denali National Park
Denali National Park is home to some of the most impressive mountains in the world. These towering giants are part of the larger Alaska Range. They offer incredible views and challenging climbs for adventurers.
Central Alaska Range: Home of Denali
The heart of the Alaska Range is dominated by the massive Denali mountain. Denali isn't just one peak; it's a huge mountain system with many smaller summits and ridges around it. Besides Denali, another very tall mountain in this area is Mount Foraker, which is over 14,000 feet (4,300 m) high! Most of the other important peaks in this central area are usually between 10,000-foot (3,000 m) and 12,500-foot (3,800 m) tall.

Kichatna Mountains: The Cathedral Spires
The Kichatna Mountains are a special part of the Alaska Range located to the west. They are famous for their amazing "Cathedral Spires." These are sharp, jagged mountain ridges (called arêtes) that look like the spires of a grand cathedral. They are a favorite spot for experienced climbers.
