The Little Jocko River is a small but important river located in Nipissing District in Northeastern Ontario, Canada. It is part of a much larger water system called the Saint Lawrence River drainage basin. This means all the water from the Little Jocko River eventually flows into the Saint Lawrence River. The Little Jocko River is a smaller branch, or tributary, that flows into the Jocko River. It is special because it lies entirely within the beautiful Jocko Rivers Provincial Park.

Where the River Starts and Ends
The Little Jocko River begins its journey in an unnamed lake. This lake is located in an area known as Jocko Township. From there, the river first flows north. Then, it makes a turn and heads south-southeast.
As it flows, the river passes under Ontario Highway 63. There is even a small picnic area nearby where people can stop and enjoy the scenery. After this, the river enters another area called Eddy Township. It then turns north again. Finally, the Little Jocko River reaches its end, or mouth, where it flows into the Jocko River.
Its Journey to the Sea
The water from the Little Jocko River travels a long way to reach the ocean. Once it joins the Jocko River, the water continues its journey. The Jocko River then flows into the Ottawa River. The Ottawa River is a major river in Canada. From the Ottawa River, the water eventually makes its way to the mighty Saint Lawrence River. The Saint Lawrence River is one of the largest rivers in North America. It flows all the way to the Atlantic Ocean. This entire system of rivers and lakes is called the Saint Lawrence River drainage basin.
