Lizton is a small town in Indiana, United States. It is located in Hendricks County. In 2020, about 511 people lived there. Lizton is one of three towns that are part of the North West Hendricks School Corporation. The other two towns are Pittsboro and North Salem.

History of Lizton
Lizton was first called New Elizabeth. It was started in 1837 by a man named Jesse Veiley. He named the town after his wife, Elizabeth.
A post office opened in 1854, also called New Elizabeth. In 1873, the town's name was changed to Lizton. Some people believe the railroad might have changed the name.
