Loudon is a city in Tennessee, United States. It is the main town, or county seat, of Loudon County. In 2020, about 6,000 people lived there. Loudon is part of the larger Knoxville area. You can find it in East Tennessee, southwest of Knoxville, right by the Tennessee River. The city gets its name from Fort Loudoun, an old fort from colonial times, which is a few miles south in Monroe County.
