They were the first Australian female Olympic diving medalists. Loudy was also the first Australian to win an Olympic diving medal since Dick Eve in 1924.

World Championships and Grand Prix Wins

In 2001, Loudy won a bronze medal at the 2001 World Aquatics Championships in Fukuoka. She had a very successful year on the Diving Grand Prix circuit. Because of her great performance, she was named Female Australian Diver of the Year. Loudy was known for being a very strong platform diver.
