Lowry is a small town located in Walworth County, South Dakota, in the United States. According to the 2020 census, only 10 people live there.
Even though it's small, Lowry has a few important places. You can find the Lowry Pilgrim Community Church and a fire station. There's also Swan Creek Harness Shop and J & C Repair. An old school building and a former post office are also in town. The post office closed in the 1970s.

History of Lowry
Lowry was started in 1907. It began as a stop for trains on a special railway line. This line was built by the Minneapolis and St. Louis Railway. It connected the towns of Conde and LeBeau, South Dakota.
The town was named after someone who worked for the railroad company. Train service to Lowry stopped in 1940.
