Lu-Yu Tea Culture Institute facts for kids

The Lu-Yu Tea Culture Institute is a special school that teaches people all about tea. It used to be called the Lu Yu Tea Art Center. This institute helps you learn how to make tea, design cool tea cups, and even how to sell tea. Their main goal is to get more people to enjoy drinking tea!

The institute also gives out special certificates. For example, you can become a "Tea Master" (陸羽泡茶師) after studying there.

The Lu-Yu Tea Culture Institute started in Taipei, Taiwan, in 1980. Since then, it has grown quite a bit! You can now find their schools in other big cities like Beijing, Chengdu, and Shanghai in China.

The institute is named after a very famous person called Lu Yu. He lived a long time ago, in the 8th century, and is known as the "sage of tea" because he knew so much about it.

Most students at the institute speak Chinese. But people from other countries, like Japan and South Korea, also come to learn. They even have classes and tea certification programs taught in English!
