Early Life
Luan Santana was born in Campo Grande, Brazil, on March 13, 1991. He started singing Brazilian country music, called 'sertanejo' songs, when he was just three years old. His family noticed his talent right away! He sang classic sertanejo songs like Muda de vida, Chico Mineiro, and Cabocla.
Music Career
In 2009, Luan Santana performed about 300 concerts across Brazil. This meant he had around 25 shows every month! By 2010, the newspaper Extra called him the "new big star of sertanejo music."
Luan Santana performed at the 2010 Festa do Peão de Barretos, a huge rodeo festival. He sang for an audience of 50,000 people! In 2014, he worked with the famous singer Enrique Iglesias on the Brazilian version of the song "Bailando."
His album 1977 was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award in 2017. It was recognized in the category for Best Sertaneja Music Album. In 2019, his album Live Móvel was also nominated for the same award. In 2020, a company called Crowley Broadcast Analysis said he was the most-played artist on Brazilian radio stations during the 2010s. He had over 1 million plays!
