He had only been cleaning houses for a week before he got his first big acting job! His first TV role was a small part in the final episode of the A&E Network show The Beast.
When the TV show Raising Hope was looking for actors, Lucas Neff sent in his audition tape. The show's creator, Greg Garcia, liked him right away and wanted him for the role of Jimmy Chance. Even though he was the first choice, Lucas still had to go through many auditions before he officially got the part.
