Life and Work
Luis Felipe Vivanco spent some time recovering from an illness in the Sierra de Guadarrama mountains. He started publishing his first poems in a journal called Cruz y Raya, which was run by his uncle, José Bergamín. At the same time, he also worked as an architect with another uncle, Rafael Bergamín.
When the Spanish Civil War began, he supported the Nationalists. He wrote propaganda poetry during this time. He also wrote for a journal called Escorial alongside other poets like Luis Rosales and Leopoldo Panero. These writers were all part of a group known as the Generation of '36.
