Lukas Katnik was born on July 31, 1989. He is an Austrian professional football player. He currently plays as a forward for SW Bregenz.
Playing Career Highlights
Lukas started playing football in his home village at FC Mäder. In 2004, he moved to FC Koblach. Then, in 2006, he joined FC Lustenau 07.
On April 20, 2007, Lukas played his first professional game for Lustenau 07. He came into the game as a substitute in the 64th minute. He scored his first professional goal on July 27, 2009. This goal was against the reserve team of FK Austria Wien.
For the 2010-2011 season, Lukas moved to FC Dornbirn. He played in the Austrian Regionalliga West, which is a regional league. At Dornbirn, he quickly became a top scorer. He scored 10 goals in the first half of the season.
In January 2011, Lukas moved to Salzburg. He joined Red Bull Juniors, which is now called FC Liefering. This team used to be the second team for FC Red Bull Salzburg. However, he was immediately loaned out to USK Anif. This was a team they worked with. The goal was to help USK Anif get promoted to a higher league.
After USK Anif did not get promoted, Lukas returned to the Juniors team. But he was loaned out again. This time, he went to FC Pasching, another team that worked with Salzburg. After his loan ended, he moved to SV Austria Salzburg. Here, he helped the team get promoted to the Austrian Football Second League in 2015.
After his team, Austria Salzburg, moved down to a lower league the next season, Lukas moved again. In the summer of 2016, he joined WSG Wattens. This team was in the Austrian Football Second League. He helped WSG Wattens win the second division in 2019. This meant they were promoted to the top league, the Austrian Football Bundesliga. After this, the club changed its name to WSG Tirol.
For WSG, Lukas played 88 games in the second division. He also played two games in the Bundesliga. In January 2020, he moved to SC Austria Lustenau. He signed a contract with them until June 2020. He played ten second division games for Lustenau and scored two goals.
For the 2020-2021 season, Lukas returned to FC Dornbirn. He signed a contract with them until June 2021.
