Mühlbachl was a small town, also called a municipality, in Tyrol, a state in Austria. It was located about 15 kilometers (about 9 miles) south of the city of Innsbruck. The area of Mühlbachl reached from the southern slopes of Schönberg im Stubaital to Steinach am Brenner. The Sill River flowed through this region. In 2018, about 1,349 people lived there. On January 1, 2022, Mühlbachl and Pfons merged to become part of the new municipality of Matrei am Brenner.
Special Places in Mühlbachl
A very famous place for religious visits, called Maria Waldrast, is located near Mühlbachl. You can reach it by hiking up the mountain Serles to the west. The Serles mountain is very tall, reaching 2,718 meters (about 8,917 feet) high.
