The MTN Elite One is the top football league in Cameroon. It is where the best professional football teams in the country play. The league started in 1961. The Cameroonian Football Federation organizes all the matches. Since 2007, the league has been called MTN Elite One. This is because of a sponsorship deal with the company MTN.

League Champions
Many different teams have won the MTN Elite One title over the years. The team that wins the league is called the "champion." They get a special trophy and a lot of prize money. For example, the champions can win XAF100,000,000. That's a huge amount of money!

The 2019–20 season was special. It could not finish because of the COVID-19 pandemic. So, PWD Bamenda was named the champion.
