Macy is a small town in Allen Township, Miami County, in the state of Indiana, United States. In 2020, the town had a population of 199 people.

A Brief History of Macy
Macy was founded in 1860. This happened when the railroad reached the area. The community was first called "Lincoln." However, there was already another town named Lincoln in Cass County.
To avoid confusion with mail, the name was changed. The town was renamed after David Macy. He was the president of the Indianapolis, Peru and Chicago Railway. Macy's post office has been open since 1880.
Geography of Macy
Macy is located in the northern part of Miami County. It is about 15 miles (24 km) north-northwest of Peru. Peru is the county seat, which means it's the main town for the county's government. Macy is also about 9 miles (14 km) southeast of Rochester.
