Madamon is a village in the Pathanamthitta District of Kerala, India. It's nestled in the beautiful Western Ghats mountains, with rolling hills and valleys. The Pamba River, considered a holy river, flows right through Madamon.
The river even splits the village into two parts: Madamon Vadakkekkara and Madamon Thekkekkara. A main road to Sabarimala goes through Thekkekkara, and a boat service helps people travel between the two sides.

Hrishikesha Temple
The "Hrishikesha Temple" is a special stop for many pilgrims. These are people who travel to the holy shrine of Sabarimala, which is about 60 kilometers away.
Pathamudayam Festival
The main festival at the Hrishikesha Temple is called Pathamudayam. This name means 'tenth sunrise'. It usually happens around April 23rd or 24th, when the sun is directly above this area. This is a big 10-day festival that brings many people from nearby villages to celebrate. The temple also celebrates during the Sabarimala festive season, which is from mid-November to mid-January.
Church of God Madamon
In the Vadakkekkara part of Madamon, you'll find the Church of God Madamon. This Christian church started in 1960 and holds meetings every Sunday in its Church Hall.
Madamon Hindu Convention
Every year, the Ezhava Community holds a large convention. This event takes place on the sandy banks of the Pamba River.
