Maisie Louise Collender Smith (born July 9, 2001) is a talented English actress and singer. She is best known for her role as Tiffany Butcher in the popular BBC soap opera EastEnders. Maisie also impressed many with her dancing skills on the TV show Strictly Come Dancing.

Maisie's Acting Journey
Maisie Smith started acting at a young age. She went to the Singer Stage School in Leigh-on-Sea. In 2006, when she was only five years old, she got a part in the film The Other Boleyn Girl. In the movie, she played a young Elizabeth I. The film came out in 2008.
Becoming Tiffany in EastEnders
Soon after her film role, Maisie joined the cast of EastEnders. She first appeared on the show on April 1, 2008, when she was six years old. She played Tiffany Dean, the daughter of a character named Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer).
Her mother said that Maisie's role was a bit like her real personality – "a little madam" and a "lively character." Maisie quickly became very confident on set. She loved working with the other actors, especially Patsy Palmer, who played her TV mum. Maisie once said, "I love being on EastEnders. I really get on with Patsy who plays my mum. She looks after me so well. It's like I'm her real daughter some days."
People noticed Maisie's talent right away. A writer from Digital Spy called her "brilliant" and "one...to watch." Her stage school teacher also praised her, saying Maisie had an "incredible memory" for scripts.
Other TV Appearances
In 2010, Maisie appeared on CITV's Bookaboo, where she read a story. She also gave an interview to The Stage magazine in 2011, talking about how supportive the EastEnders team was. She learned a lot from working on the show.
Maisie left EastEnders in 2014 but came back for a short visit in 2016. She then returned full-time in January 2018. She finally left the show again in December 2021, with a quick return in March 2022.
Dancing on Strictly Come Dancing
In 2020, Maisie joined the popular dancing competition Strictly Come Dancing. She was partnered with professional dancer Gorka Márquez. They danced their way to the final, finishing in second place!
New Challenges: Stage and Reality TV
After Strictly, Maisie tried new things. In May 2022, she made her debut in musical theatre, playing the role of Fran in Strictly Ballroom: The Musical.
In October 2022, Maisie also took on a tough challenge. She was one of the finalists on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, a reality show where celebrities face difficult military-style tests.
In April 2024, Maisie was cast in a musical tour called Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds, where she will play Beth, the Parson's Wife.
Maisie's Music
Maisie has also released her own music. In October 2016, she released her first song called "Good Thing." She even made a music video for it. In March 2017, she released her second song, "Where My Heart Is."
Personal Life
Maisie Smith lives in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, with her parents and sister. She went to Belfairs Academy and the Sandra Singer Stage School. She also studied musical theatre at South Essex College. As of September 2022, she is in a relationship with singer Max George.
