Maisie Louise Collender Smith (born July 9, 2001) is a talented English actress and singer. She is best known for her role as Tiffany Butcher in the popular BBC soap opera EastEnders. Maisie also impressed many with her dancing skills on the TV show Strictly Come Dancing.

Maisie's Acting Journey

Maisie Smith started acting at a young age. She went to the Singer Stage School in Leigh-on-Sea. In 2006, when she was only five years old, she got a part in the film The Other Boleyn Girl. In the movie, she played a young Elizabeth I. The film came out in 2008.

Becoming Tiffany in EastEnders

Soon after her film role, Maisie joined the cast of EastEnders. She first appeared on the show on April 1, 2008, when she was six years old. She played Tiffany Dean, the daughter of a character named Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer).

Her mother said that Maisie's role was a bit like her real personality – "a little madam" and a "lively character." Maisie quickly became very confident on set. She loved working with the other actors, especially Patsy Palmer, who played her TV mum. Maisie once said, "I love being on EastEnders. I really get on with Patsy who plays my mum. She looks after me so well. It's like I'm her real daughter some days."

People noticed Maisie's talent right away. A writer from Digital Spy called her "brilliant" and "one...to watch." Her stage school teacher also praised her, saying Maisie had an "incredible memory" for scripts.

Other TV Appearances

In 2010, Maisie appeared on CITV's Bookaboo, where she read a story. She also gave an interview to The Stage magazine in 2011, talking about how supportive the EastEnders team was. She learned a lot from working on the show.
