Maja Gojković (Маја Гојковић; born on May 22, 1963) is a Serbian politician. She has been the president of the Government of Vojvodina since 2024. She is a member of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS).
Before her current role, she was the president of the National Assembly from 2014 to 2020. She also served as deputy prime minister of Serbia and minister of culture from 2020 to 2024.
As a member of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS), she was a minister without a specific department from 1998 to 1999. She was also the deputy prime minister of Yugoslavia from 1999 to 2000. Later, she became the mayor of Novi Sad, serving from 2004 to 2008. After this, she left SRS and started her own group, the People's Party. This party later joined the SNS in 2012.

Early Life and Education
Maja Gojković grew up in Novi Sad, Serbia. She went to Branko Radičević elementary school. For high school, she attended the Gymnasium Jovan Jovanović Zmaj.
Studying Law
After high school, she studied law at the University of Novi Sad Faculty of Law. She earned her degree in 1987. Two years later, in 1989, she passed the bar exam. This allowed her to work as a lawyer. In 1990, she began working at her family's law firm.
Political Journey
Maja Gojković has had a long career in Serbian politics. She was one of the people who helped start the Serbian Radical Party. In this party, she held important roles like secretary general and vice president.
Early Roles in Government
From 1992, Gojković was a representative in the parliament of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. She also served in the Vojvodina parliament from 1996 to 2000. In 1998 and 1999, she was a minister in the Serbian Government without a specific department. She also served as vice chairman of the federal government of FR Yugoslavia in 1999.
Mayor of Novi Sad
In 2004, Maja Gojković was elected Mayor of Novi Sad. She won the election by popular vote. This made her the first woman to become mayor of Novi Sad. She served in this role until 2008.
Forming a New Party
In 2008, she left the Serbian Radical Party. She then formed her own political group called the People's Party. In the local elections, her party won seven seats in the Parliament of Novi Sad. In 2010, the People's Party joined a larger group called the United Regions of Serbia (URS). Later, the People's Party stopped existing, and Maja Gojković became a member of the Serbian Progressive Party.
Leading the National Assembly
On April 23, 2014, she was elected President of the National Assembly of Serbia. This is a very important role, similar to being the speaker of a country's main law-making body. She held this position until 2020.
Recent Roles
From 2020 to 2024, Maja Gojković served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia. At the same time, she was also the Minister of Culture and Information. Since May 2024, she has been the president of the Government of Vojvodina.
Health Update
In June 2020, Maja Gojković was hospitalized because she had COVID-19. She later recovered.
