Malcolm Iseiah Thomas (born November 8, 1988) is an American professional basketball player. He plays for the Sagesse Club in the Lebanese Basketball League (LBL). Malcolm played college basketball for the San Diego State Aztecs. There, he was named to the All-Mountain West Conference (MWC) second-team twice.

Early Life and Family
Malcolm Thomas was born in Columbia, Missouri. His father, also named Malcolm Thomas, was a talented basketball player. His father was even chosen in the 1985 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Clippers.
Malcolm was raised by his mother and aunts. He played basketball at Crawford High School in San Diego, California. In his final year, he helped his team win a championship title.
College Basketball Journey
Malcolm started his college career at Pepperdine University. As a freshman, he scored about 12.5 points and grabbed 8.8 rebounds per game.
He then moved to San Diego City College. There, he was a star player, averaging 21.1 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 3.9 blocks. He was even named co-Most Valuable Player (MVP) for his conference. Malcolm thought about joining the 2009 NBA draft early but decided to wait.
He then played two seasons for the San Diego State Aztecs. He was named to the All-MWC second team twice. In his senior year, he was also on the MWC All-Defensive team. This was because he was great at getting rebounds and blocked shots. His team made it to the "Sweet 16" round of the NCAA Tournament that season. Malcolm finished his college career as one of the best shot blockers and rebounders in his school's history.
Professional Basketball Career
Malcolm Thomas was not chosen in the 2011 NBA draft. However, he soon began his professional career.
Starting Out (2011–2012)
In 2011, Malcolm signed a contract to play for Mobis Phoebus in the Korean Basketball League. He played very well, averaging 21 points and 11 rebounds. Even though he was doing great, the team wanted a more experienced player and released him. They still paid him for the rest of his contract.
Later in 2011, Malcolm joined the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA. He was also sent to their minor league team, the Los Angeles D-Fenders. He played his first NBA game with the San Antonio Spurs in January 2012. He also played for the Austin Toros and the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. He even reached the D-League finals with the D-Fenders.
Playing Overseas and in the NBA (2012–2014)
In 2012, Malcolm signed with Maccabi Tel Aviv, a team in Israel. He played well in Europe, but his playing time decreased after the team signed another player. He left the team in February 2013.
He then returned to the Los Angeles D-Fenders. Soon after, he signed short contracts with the Golden State Warriors and the Chicago Bulls in the NBA. He played for the Bulls for the rest of the 2012-13 season.
In November 2013, Malcolm rejoined the Los Angeles D-Fenders. He also signed with the San Antonio Spurs again and played for their minor league team, the Austin Toros. In February 2014, he was named an All-Star in the NBA D-League.
Moving Around Teams (2014–2016)
Malcolm was traded to several NBA teams in 2014, including the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics. He then signed with the Philadelphia 76ers. He played five games for them but had to leave due to a knee injury. He later rejoined the 76ers but was waived again.
In 2015, he played for the Piratas de Quebradillas in Puerto Rico. In 2015-16, he returned to the Los Angeles D-Fenders for a fourth time. He also briefly signed with the Meralco Bolts in the Philippines but was released due to an injury.
International Play (2016–Present)
Since 2016, Malcolm has played for several international teams.

- From 2017 to 2019, he played for Khimki, a team in Russia.

- From 2022 to 2023, he played for BC Samara in Russia.
- In 2023, he joined Wonju DB Promy in South Korea.
- From 2023 to 2024, he played for ONVO Büyükçekmece in Turkey.
- In January 2025, Malcolm signed with the Sagesse SC in Lebanon.
The Basketball Tournament (TBT)
In the summer of 2017, Malcolm played in The Basketball Tournament (TBT). This tournament is shown on ESPN. He played for a team called A Few Good Men. Malcolm helped his team reach the "Super 16" round.
Personal Life
Malcolm Thomas has a daughter named Mikeala, who was born in 2009.
