Manu Katché's Musical Journey
Manu Katché was born in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, a town near Paris, France. In the mid-1980s, he played drums on some very popular albums. These included Peter Gabriel's album So from 1986 and Sting's albums …Nothing Like the Sun (1987) and The Soul Cages (1991).
Playing for Other Artists
Since then, Manu has become a very sought-after musician. He has played with many different artists and bands. These include famous names in pop, rock, and world music. Some of the artists he has worked with are Tears for Fears, Eurythmics, Simple Minds, Dire Straits, Joni Mitchell, and Tracy Chapman. He has also toured a lot with Peter Gabriel and Sting.
