Mara's Early Career in Music

Mara Maionchi started her career in the music world in 1967. She worked as a secretary in the press office for Ariston Records. There, she helped famous singers like Ornella Vanoni and Mino Reitano.

Working with Top Artists

In 1969, Mara joined Numero Uno, a record label started by Mogol and Lucio Battisti. Later, in the 1970s, she moved to Dischi Ricordi. At Dischi Ricordi, she became a "talent discoverer." This means she found new singers who had great potential. She helped launch the careers of artists like Gianna Nannini. She also became an "art director," guiding the music of Fabrizio De André and helping to make Mango famous.

Discovering Tiziano Ferro
