Maratone Studios facts for kids
Maratone is a super cool music production company! It was started by two amazing music producers and songwriters, Max Martin and Tom Talomaa. They are based in Stockholm, Sweden.
Maratone began in January 2001. This was right after another famous studio, Cheiron Studios, closed down. Maratone moved into Cosmos Studios. This studio was bought by Kent Isaacs, and it used to be called Abbey Road/EMI Studios. Cosmos Studios works closely with Cosmos Music Group.
The very first songs made at Maratone were for Britney Spears' third album, Britney. There were four tracks on that album produced by Maratone. The main team at Maratone now includes producers and songwriters like Max Martin, Rami Yacoub, and Arnthor Birgisson. Another person, Alexandra Talomaa, left to start her own company called "Maridox Songs."
Maratone helped Kelly Clarkson create huge hits like "Since U Been Gone" and "Behind These Hazel Eyes." With these songs, Max Martin changed his style. He worked with Dr. Luke (Lukasz Gottwald) to create a new, different sound. It was not like the "Cheiron sound" he was famous for before. He kept using this new rock sound for hits by Taylor Swift, Pink, Katy Perry, a-ha, and many other artists.

Max Martin didn't stop with Maratone. He went on to create and run other very successful music production companies. These include MXM and Wolf Cousins. He also brought together many talented people to form a big team of songwriters and producers.
This team includes people like Rami Yacoub, Shellback, Rickard Goransson, Johan Carlsson, Peter Carlsson, Ilya Salmanzadeh, Ali Payami, Oscar Holter, and OzGo. Dr. Luke was also part of this group for a short time until 2014.
