Marietta is a small city in Lac qui Parle County, Minnesota, United States. It is located near the South Dakota border, along Minnesota State Highway 40. In 2020, the city had a population of 116 people.
History of Marietta
Marietta was first planned out in 1884. A post office opened in the city during that same year. Many of the first people who settled in Marietta came from a city called Marietta, Ohio. The city of Marietta, Minnesota, officially became an incorporated city in 1899.
