How to Play Mario Party: Island Tour
The way you play Mario Party: Island Tour is much like other games in the Mario Party series. Players take turns moving around different game boards. You roll a virtual dice to see how many spaces you can move.
Minigames and Challenges
As you move around the board, you'll land on spaces that trigger various events. Most importantly, players get to compete in exciting minigames. These short, fun challenges test your skills and reflexes. Winning minigames often gives you a special advantage or points.
Special Features: Augmented Reality and StreetPass
This game uses some cool features of the Nintendo 3DS. One is called augmented reality, or AR. This means the game can mix what you see in the real world through your 3DS camera with computer graphics. For example, a minigame might make it look like Mario characters are playing on your living room floor!
Another neat feature is StreetPass. If you walk past other Nintendo 3DS players who also have the game, your consoles can share information. This lets you unlock new content or challenge other players' records without even knowing them.
