Mark Alexander Fraser, born on September 29, 1986, is a Canadian who used to play professional ice hockey. He was a defenceman, a player who helps protect the team's goal. Mark played for three big teams in the National Hockey League (NHL): the New Jersey Devils, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Edmonton Oilers.

Mark Fraser's Hockey Journey

Starting in Junior Hockey

Mark Fraser began his hockey career playing for the Kitchener Rangers in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). This was a junior league for younger players. In his second year, he became the team captain. This showed he was a hard worker and a leader.

Joining the NHL Draft

In 2005, the New Jersey Devils picked Mark in the NHL Entry Draft. He was the 84th player chosen overall. After his junior career, he started playing professionally. He joined the Albany River Rats in the American Hockey League (AHL) for a few games.
