Mark Allen Webber (born July 19, 1980) is an American actor known for his roles in movies and television shows. You might recognize him as the character Stephen Stills in the movie Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) and the animated series Scott Pilgrim Takes Off (2023). He has also appeared in films like Snow Day (2000) and Weapons (2007).

Early Life and Family

Mark Webber was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His mother is Cheri Honkala, a well-known activist who helps people experiencing homelessness. She was also a candidate for vice president for the Green Party, a political party in the U.S., in 2012. Through his family, Webber has Cheyenne (a Native American tribe) and Finnish roots.

When Mark was nine, he and his mother moved to Philadelphia. They faced very difficult times and were homeless for a while. They lived in cars and empty buildings, especially during the cold winters. These experiences inspired both Mark and his mother to become advocates for people in need.

Acting Career

Webber started his acting career in 1998. He often chooses roles in unique and creative independent films. These roles allow him to explore complex characters.

In 2019, he was chosen for a role in the ABC crime show Stumptown. However, the part was later given to another actor, Jake Johnson, before the show aired.

Personal Life

Webber has a son from a past relationship with actress Frankie Shaw. They share joint custody, which means they both take part in raising their son. Webber's 2012 film, The End of Love, was inspired by his experiences with family and even starred him and his real-life son.

In 2012, Webber started dating Australian actress Teresa Palmer after they connected on Twitter. They got married in Mexico on December 21, 2013. Together, they have five children. Including his oldest son, Webber is a father of six. The family lives in the Beachwood Canyon area of Los Angeles.

Webber and his mother have spent many years helping the homeless. They have organized protests and worked to educate people about the problems the homeless face. They also volunteer to give food and shelter to people in need.
