Marko Rehmer is a former German professional football player. He was born on April 29, 1972. Marko mostly played as a right-back, which is a defensive position on the right side of the field.

Marko Rehmer's Club Career
Marko Rehmer started playing football in his hometown, East Berlin. He joined the youth team of 1. FC Union Berlin. When he was almost 25, he moved to the top German football league, the Bundesliga.
Playing for Hansa Rostock
In 1997, Marko joined FC Hansa Rostock. He was a very important player for the team. Thanks to his skills, Hansa Rostock stayed in the top league during his time there. He played for them for two years.
Time with Hertha BSC
After Hansa Rostock, Marko played for another club from his city, Hertha BSC. He stayed with Hertha BSC for six years, from 1999 to 2005. He was a key defender for the team. During his time, Hertha BSC often qualified for the UEFA Cup, which is a big European competition. However, Marko also had many injuries that kept him from playing sometimes.
Final Years at Eintracht Frankfurt
In 2005, Marko Rehmer moved to Eintracht Frankfurt. He continued to face injuries there. He played his last professional season in 2006–07. He helped his team avoid being moved down to a lower league. After that season, he had to stop playing football because of his injuries.

FIFA World Cup 2002
Marko Rehmer was also chosen to play in the 2002 FIFA World Cup. This was a very exciting tournament. Germany reached the final match. Marko played for 45 minutes in the game against Paraguay in the round of 16. Germany won that game 1–0. Even though Germany lost in the final, Marko earned a silver medal as a runner-up in the World Cup.
