History of Marlboro
The area where Marlboro is located was first settled around 1697. This makes it one of the oldest communities in the town. Several buildings and places in Marlboro are very old and important. They are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This list includes places like the Chapel Hill Bible Church and Shady Brook Farm.
One special historical site is the Gomez Mill House. It is the oldest Jewish home in Ulster County. It was also the first place in Ulster County to make paper.
