The seventh season of MasterChef Canada, called MasterChef Canada: Back to Win, started on February 14, 2021. It was shown on CTV and finished on May 16, 2021. This was a special season where contestants from past shows came back to compete again. It was filmed in June 2020.
Christopher Siu, who owns a dessert bar and bakery, won the competition. He was originally from Season 2. Andrew "Andy" Hay and Dorothea "Thea" VanHerwaarden came in second place. Christopher was the first person to win after being eliminated in a past season. Andy was a runner-up in Season 5, and Thea was a runner-up in Season 4. This season was also the first time three contestants competed in the final episode!

After April Lee had to leave due to an injury in episode 3, Barrie was brought back to the competition.

In the first Mystery Box challenge, chefs faced a dish they cooked poorly in their past season. They had to make it amazing this time. Andre's dish was the best, giving him an advantage. Dora's beef cheeks sandwich was the weakest, and she was the first to be eliminated.

This episode had three parts to a Pressure Test. First, chefs showed their knife skills by slicing snapper. Jeremy made the best dish and was safe. Next, chefs made their own sushi rolls. Christopher and Jen made the best rolls and were safe. Finally, Andy, April Lee, and Barrie had to cook okonomiyaki. Barrie was eliminated in a very close decision.
