Matt Willis (born 8 May 1983) is an English musician, singer, songwriter, actor, and TV host. He is best known as a member of the pop-punk band Busted, where he plays bass guitar and sings.
Willis also has a successful solo career. He released his first solo album, Don't Let It Go to Waste, in 2006. In the same year, he won the popular TV show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!. He has also acted in TV shows like Birds of a Feather and EastEnders.

Early Life
Matt Willis was born in London, England. He went to the famous Sylvia Young Theatre School. There, he met many other future stars, including Lee Ryan, Tom Fletcher, Billie Piper, and Amy Winehouse.
Music Career
Busted
Willis became famous as a member of the pop band Busted. He was the band's bassist and one of its main singers. Along with James Bourne and Charlie Simpson, he co-wrote most of their hit songs.
Busted was very popular in the United Kingdom. They had many hit singles and released two studio albums. The band broke up in 2005 when Charlie Simpson left to work on other music.
In 2015, Busted announced they were getting back together. They went on a big tour in 2016. The band then released two more albums, Night Driver in 2016 and Half Way There in 2019.
Solo Career
After Busted first split up, Willis started a solo career. He released several singles, including "Up All Night", "Hey Kid", and "Don't Let It Go to Waste". He also recorded a cover of the song "Crash" for the movie Mr Bean's Holiday.
McBusted
In 2013, Willis joined forces with his Busted bandmate James Bourne and the band McFly. Together, they formed a supergroup called McBusted. They went on a successful tour and released an album. McBusted went on a break when Busted decided to get back together in 2015.
Television and Theatre
TV Appearances
In 2006, Willis won the sixth series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!. He became "King of the Jungle" after completing many challenges, including eating unusual jungle foods.
He has also worked as a TV presenter. He co-hosted the BRIT Awards coverage in 2007 and 2008. He and his wife, Emma, also presented the spin-off show for I'm a Celebrity... for two years.
As an actor, Willis appeared in the comedy series Birds of a Feather in 2014. In the same year, he had a role in the popular soap opera EastEnders. In 2024, he began co-hosting Love Is Blind: UK with his wife.
Theatre Work
Willis has also performed on stage in many famous musicals. In 2010, he starred in Flashdance: The Musical. He later had roles in Footloose and the hit musical Wicked, where he played Fiyero.
In 2018, he appeared in Little Shop of Horrors. More recently, he toured the UK with the musical Waitress and starred in the play 2:22 A Ghost Story in London.
Personal Life
On 5 July 2008, Willis married TV presenter Emma Griffiths. They have three children together: two daughters and a son.
In 2010, Willis was injured in a skiing accident but recovered. In 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic, he and his wife trained with St John Ambulance to become vaccination volunteers and help their community.
