Max Kellerman (born August 6, 1973) is an American sports television personality. He is also a well-known boxing commentator. He used to work at ESPN until June 2023. There, he hosted This Just In with Max Kellerman. He also co-hosted Keyshawn, JWill and Max on ESPN Radio. Before that, he was a co-host on the ESPN talk show First Take. He worked with Stephen A. Smith and Molly Qerim.
Kellerman also co-hosted Max & Marcellus on ESPNLA. He hosted Around the Horn from 2002 to 2004. He also co-hosted SportsNation from 2013 to 2016. He was a commentator for boxing shows like Friday Night Fights and HBO World Championship Boxing.

Max Kellerman's Career
Early Broadcasting Days
Max Kellerman started his broadcasting journey as a teenager. He hosted a show about professional boxing called Max on Boxing. This show was on a local cable TV channel in New York City. Even though it was a simple show, it got attention from people in the boxing world.
After college, Kellerman joined ESPN in the late 1990s. He became an analyst for their boxing series, Friday Night Fights. In 2002, he got his own show, Around the Horn. He helped create this popular show and was its first host.
Moving to Other Networks
In 2004, Kellerman left ESPN to host a new show. It was called I, Max on Fox Sports Net. He discussed sports news with other hosts. This show was popular, but it was later canceled by Fox in 2005.
In 2005, Max also became a regular guest on Tucker on MSNBC. He shared his opinions on sports and other topics. This show ended in 2008.
Radio and Return to ESPN
In 2006, Kellerman started hosting a radio show on WEPN, an ESPN Radio station in New York City. His show became very popular. In 2007, ESPNEWS host Brian Kenny joined him as a co-host. The show was also added to XM Radio.
Kellerman left ESPN Radio in 2009. However, he continued his boxing work at HBO. He worked on shows like Boxing After Dark and HBO World Championship Boxing.
In 2010, Kellerman was hired by CNN. He shared his thoughts on sports and pop culture for their programs. Later that year, he became a midday host for KSPN in Los Angeles. He co-hosted with former NFL player Marcellus Wiley.
Major ESPN Roles
In 2016, Max Kellerman joined ESPN's First Take. He replaced Skip Bayless as a co-analyst. He worked alongside Stephen A. Smith and host Molly Qerim.
After HBO stopped broadcasting boxing in 2018, Kellerman signed a new contract with ESPN. This expanded his role in their boxing coverage. He hosted boxing coverage from the studio.
In 2021, Kellerman left First Take. He was later laid off from ESPN in June 2023.
Acting Appearances
Max Kellerman has also appeared in movies. He was in the 2006 film Rocky Balboa. He played a boxing commentator during a fight scene. He also appeared in the 2015 film Creed. In Creed, he played a reporter.

Max Kellerman's Personal Life
Max Kellerman was born in The Bronx, New York. He grew up in the Greenwich Village area of New York City. He went to Hunter College High School and then Columbia University.
His younger brother, Sam, was a writer who also covered boxing. In 2004, Sam passed away. This was a very difficult time for Max.
Kellerman is married and has three daughters. He does not have a middle name. He is involved in Jewish cultural activities. He can also speak Yiddish.
Max is a big fan of hip hop music. His favorite artists include the Wu-Tang Clan. He was even part of a hip-hop group with his brother Sam. They were called "Max and Sam" and released a music video in 1994.
Kellerman has a small scar on the left side of his mouth. It's from an accident he had as a child. He is a fan of the New York Giants and New York Yankees sports teams.
