Mentone is a community in San Bernardino County, California, United States. It is called a "census-designated place" because it is a special area defined by the government for counting people. In 2020, about 9,557 people lived there.
Mentone covers an area of about 6.2 square miles (16.1 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with a very small part being water. You can find many homes, restaurants, and churches in Mentone. The main road through Mentone is California State Route 38. It is called Mentone Boulevard on the west side and Mill Creek Road on the east side. This road is one of the main ways to get to the San Bernardino Mountains, including places like Angelus Oaks and Big Bear Lake.
