Mephisto Lake is a lovely lake found in Ontario, Canada. It is part of a big water system. This system eventually leads to Lake Ontario. The lake is located in Hastings County, within a place called Tudor and Cashel Township.

Mephisto Lake is about 3.1 kilometers (1.9 miles) long. It is also around 1.7 kilometers (1.1 miles) wide. The lake sits at an elevation of 313 meters (1,027 feet) above sea level. This means it is quite high up.
Where is it?
You can find Mephisto Lake in the geographic area of Cashel. This is part of Tudor and Cashel Township. It is in Hastings County. The lake is about 5 kilometers (3 miles) north of a small community called Gunter. It is also about 25 kilometers (16 miles) southeast of the town of Bancroft.

Water flows into and out of Mephisto Lake. This movement of water is important for the lake's health.
Inflows
The main stream that brings water into Mephisto Lake is called Mephisto Creek. It flows in from the northeast side of the lake. Other smaller streams also feed into the lake. One comes from Mawson Lake to the north. Another stream enters from the east. Two more streams flow in from the south. One of these southern streams comes from the direction of Cashel Lake.
Outflows
The main way water leaves Mephisto Lake is through a channel. This channel leads to Dark Lake. From Dark Lake, the water continues its journey. It flows through Dixon Creek and then Beaver Creek. After that, it joins the Crowe River. The Crowe River then flows into the Trent River. Finally, the Trent River empties into the Bay of Quinte. The Bay of Quinte is a part of Lake Ontario, near Trenton.
