Michael Anthony Buchanan, Jr. (born January 24, 1991) is a former American professional football player. He played as a defensive end, which is a position on the defense that tries to stop the other team's offense. The New England Patriots picked him in the 2013 NFL Draft. Before that, he played college football for the Illinois Fighting Illini.

Michael Buchanan grew up in the United States. He went to Homewood-Flossmoor High School. While there, he was a very talented football player.
