Michael Cinco's Early Life and Education
Michael Cinco was born on August 27, 1971, on the island of Samar in the central Philippines. Growing up in a small town, he often dreamed of designing clothes. He imagined dressing up famous movie stars like Marlene Dietrich and Audrey Hepburn. He once said, "I pictured those fabulous heroines and imagined dressing them up in my creations."
Cinco first studied Fine Arts at the University of the Philippines Diliman. After two years, he moved to Slims Fashion and Arts School in Manila. He also took extra classes at Central Saint Martins in London. This helped him learn even more about fashion design.
Michael Cinco's Career Journey
In 1997, Michael Cinco moved to Dubai. He felt this was a big step for him. He said the Middle East was a great place for fashion design. He started his own fashion line in 2003.
Before starting his own brand, he worked for another fashion house in Dubai. He helped make their designs more modern and exciting. Soon, many important people in Dubai's fashion world noticed his talent.
In 2002, Cinco went to Paris and then to London. He trained more at Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design. The next year, he came back to Dubai. That is when he officially launched his own fashion label, Michael Cinco.
