Mihalis Rakintzis (Greek: Μιχάλης Ρακιντζής; born on 3 April 1957) is a famous Greek singer. He was born in Athens, Greece. Before becoming a musician, he studied Mechanical Engineering in the United Kingdom.
From 1982 to 1985, Mihalis was part of a rock band called Scraptown. They released three albums and one maxi-single. After Scraptown broke up, Mihalis started his amazing journey as a solo artist.

Mihalis quickly became very popular. In 1991, readers of the music magazine Popcorn voted him "Best singer of the Year"! This showed how much his fans loved his music.
Working with Music Stars
Mihalis Rakintzis has worked with many big names in music from around the world. He collaborated with Ian Gillan, the lead singer of the legendary rock band Deep Purple. He also worked with the famous rock singer Bonnie Tyler and the group Wee Papa Girl Rappers.

In 2002, Mihalis Rakintzis had the honor of representing Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002. The contest took place in Tallinn, Estonia. He performed his song "S.A.G.A.P.O." (which means "I Love You"). His performance placed 17th in the competition.
