Michelle Jacqueline Krusiec (born Ya-Huei Yang; October 2, 1974) is an American actress, writer, and producer known for her work in movies and television.

Early Life and Schooling
Michelle Krusiec was born in Taiwan. When she was five years old, she was adopted by her aunt and her American husband. She grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Her adoptive father gave her the name Michelle Jacqueline because he liked French names.
Krusiec loved acting and studied theater at Virginia Tech, where she earned her degree. She also received a scholarship to study at the famous University of Oxford in England, focusing on Shakespeare and women's literature.
Career in Entertainment
Television Roles
In 1996, Krusiec became a travel reporter for the Discovery Channel show Travelers. She got to visit more than 50 places around the world for the series.
She has appeared in many popular TV shows. She played an older version of the character Molly O'Brien in an episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. She was also a main character in the NBC sitcom One World and had a role in the show Popular.

Krusiec is well known for her leading role in the movie Saving Face (2005). She played a Chinese American surgeon named Wil. Her performance was so good that she was nominated for Best Actress at the Golden Horse Film Festival, a major awards show for Chinese-language films.

Stage and Theater

She also toured with the play Chinglish, acting in major theaters in California and even at the Hong Kong Arts Festival. In 2018, she starred in the play Wild Goose Dreams at The Public Theater in New York City.
